The founder of Health and Hope Society, Dr. Sasa had provided 500 bags of rice and other food items to victims of natural disaster in Hakha, capital of Chin state, Myanmar recently. Those rice and food items were purchased from Silchar in India, which will be transported from Mizoram state to Hakha immediately.
“The rice bags will be transported through Vanzang via Thantlang town to Hakha. I asked the assistance of Chin National Front (CNF) leaders to reach those food items to Hakha Rescue Committee safely as we all have a duty to rescue the victims of natural disaster from food shortages and homeless problem not only in Hakha, but also in other towns and villages,” Dr. Sasa said.
Meanwhile, Hakha – capital of Chin state had faced the biggest impact of natural disaster and followed by Paletwa town in Chin state, said Pu Paul Sitha, Secretary (1) CNF.
“If the roads in Matupi town connecting with other township will be totally destroyed, they can face possible food shortage,” he added.
