A source reports that 300 refugees from Pinso village in Paletwa township can face shortage of food in their camp and they need immediate emergency relief.

The refugees of Pinso villagers are staying at the bank of Kaladan River from early this year in order to escape the gun fighting between Myanmar army and Arakan Army (AA) till today.

“There is only food stocked for December 2015. They don’t have any food items for next year, so that they need immediate aid,” said Ko Hla Thun, a member of Refugee Relief Committee.

Now they are in need of some food items like rice, chilly, school equipments and medicines. Some refugees are doing farm works nearby the camp for their livelihood, he added.
