The Chin National Army (CNA) and the Hakha Chinland Defence Force (CDF) reported killing at least 30 regime ground troops between Lon Cwe and Lam Thok in Chin State over the weekend.

A Burma Army (BA) column is marching from Gangaw in Magwe Region to Hakha, the capital of Chin State. A CDF officer told Khonumthung News that they fought with the column from 23 to 25 April and a few times yesterday.

During the three days of clashes, only one of their soldiers was injured, who suffered a minor injury from shrapnel, he said.

The officer expects violence to break out around Lam Thok after about 400 BA soldiers arrived at the village, which is about 40 miles from Hakha.

Villages along the road from Gangaw to Hakha are deserted after residents fled into the jungle before the soldiers arrived in the area.

Last month, Chin resistance groups fought with the BA along the road where the regime troops burned down 7 houses and 2 buildings in Thee Nam.

On Tuesday, two CDF fighters were killed in clashes with BA in Chuncung, Hakha Township.

Last week in southern Chin State, the Matupi CDF reported at least eight BA soldiers including a captain were killed, and five wounded in an skirmish at a junction on the Mindat-Matupi road.
