Chin resistance groups are in the process of establishing the Chinland Council, for which a working committee has already been formed.
A total of 108 representatives from the Chin National Front, former Chin MPs, townships, and local organizations met at the India-Burma border area to discuss the matter from 7-9 September.

During this meeting, the representatives established the Working Committee for the Chinland Council Conference (WCCCC). Last Friday, the committee released a statement regarding its formation and outlined its tasks.
Forming the WCCCC was a crucial step in drafting a constitution for Chinland, establishing the council, and addressing legislative, administrative, and judicial matters within Chinland during the revolutionary period, which the representatives of the meeting unanimously agreed to.
The WCCCC will be responsible for drafting the constitution and making preparations for a conference to ratify it and establish the council.
