Resistance forces successfully seized three State Administration Council (SAC) camps for soldiers and police in Kalay and Tamu townships in Sagaing Region.

SAC personnel were captured alive, and a substantial quantity of weapons was recovered from the regime.

In coordinated early morning attacks on November 3, resistance groups targeted a total of six camps in the townships, achieving successful captures in Khampat, Witok in Tamu township, and one in Myauksi in Kalay Township.

An officer from the Vakok battalion of Chin National Defense Force (CNDF) reported they were unable to capture SAC’s hilltop camp in Khampat.

During the assault on the police camp in Myauksi, they claimed to have killed at least 10 SAC soldiers, captured several police and soldiers, and seized a significant amount of weapons and ammunition.

The Yarzagyo prison camp in Kalay Township was also taken over, resulting in the release of all inmates.

“We have a plan to seize all of the police and army camps one by one. We’ll continue to attack and seize their camps as we have prepared this offensive operation against the Burma army. We are unified in this commitment and now implementing our objectives at the beginning of this  operation,” stated the CNDF officer.

The attacks resulted in casualties among the resistance forces, with 19-year-old Salai Thawng Tha Cung (aka Cung Te) from CNDF Vakok battalion, 21-year-old Min Khant Naing from Ranger Kale Defense Force (RKDF), and 19-year-old Zin Maung Oo also from RKDF losing their lives in the attack on Myauksi police camp.

Additionally, 18-year-old Tg Mung Cin Muan from Zoland PDF and two soldiers from Kalay PDF were reported killed in the assault on the Yarzagyo prison camp.

According to the National Unity Government (NUG), attacks on camps were carried out by resistance forces in various townships in addition to Kalay and Tamu.

These include Hommalin,  Kalaywa, Kawlin, Wontho, Kyun Hla in Sagaing Division, and Gangaw Township in Magwe Region within NUG’s Region 1, where several camps were captured.
