Several fighter jets launched multiple attacks on a village in Mindat Township in southern Chin State.

Ko Har Kalay from Mindat town informed Khonumthung News that three regime vessels took turns attacking Ouk Chai.

They dropped a total of 10 bombs, including 500 lb shells, and strafed the village with machine gun fire in the afternoon of April 2nd. This assault resulted in the destruction of numerous homes and ignited a fire in the jungle near the village, situated in the Taik Nel 13 area near Matupi and Paletwa townships.

Khonumthung News is still trying to confirm damages, including whether there were any civilian casualties.

The morning before, three jet fighters bombed Chap Kay in Taik Nel 2, about 40 miles from Mindat town. The planes dropped the same amount of shells, including 500 lb bombs.

Since early this year, the military has been deploying more troops to the township and increasing flyovers by surveillance planes and airstrikes against the Chin resistance fighters and civilians.
