Three Chin teenagers have been missing from Tualkhaing village of Cikha sub-township, Ton Zang Township, northern Chin state, Burma since 2 March 2012.

The three stole edibles from a truck, which came from Manipur, northeast India to Tualkhiang village. They escaped from the village, said Mr. Min Thang, Zomi Human Rights Foundation.

It is learnt that local authorities were not informed about the missing teenagers by the villagers of Tualkhaing. Tualkhaing village is located in Cikha Sub-township of Ton Zang Township near the Indo- Burma border.

“The three were threatened that they would be arrested by the Indian Army by the truck driver, when they stole food from the truck but they escaped,” said Mr. Min Thang.

In the meantime, a vehicle carrying Haicin villagers met with an accident near Tualkhaing village. Five passengers were injured. The accident occurred when the brake failed. The injured were admitted in Lamka civil hospital,” said Min Thang. Khonumthung news
