Four Burmese soldiers have died and two are feared missing near Tui Vang village, between Tamu Town and Bawkkan village of Sagaing division, in the second week of this month. Four bodies have been found.

Bodies of a Lieutenant of the Burmese Army, a corporal and two privates were found. It is suspected that they were killed by the two soldiers who have gone missing.

The Lieutenant was identified to be the one, who was transferred from Hakha, the capital of Chin state recently. Local people suspect that jealousy was involved as he was promoted to an officer at a young age.

But some local people think that the Burmese soldiers were killed by members of the United National Liberation Front (UNLF), because members of the rebel group from Manipur, India stays in Tui Vang village.

The army authorities are on the lookout for the missing Burmese soldiers. Khonumthung news
