A local of Burdukbanga village name Jitua Tongchangya (26) in Lawngtlai district, Mizoram has severely injured after an explosion of landmine at Indo-Myanmar border and he has been admitted at Lawngtlai civil hospital on 15 January 2018.
The Aizawl Post newspapers said that Jitua Tongchangya and his friend Morokto Tongchangya were trampled on the landmine while they were searching foods in the forest.
“Jitua Tongchangya lost his left leg and severely injured his right heel. But his life is not dangerous condition. His friend is not injured,” said a local.
A report said that the landmine was trapped in Indian boundary, and Myanmar military or Arakan military personnel may trap it.
Burdukbanga village is located in Mizoram northeast state of India and only five miles away from Myanmar border.
