The Central Anti-Drugs Squad (CADS) has arrested a Chin national, who tried to forcibly sell a teenaged Chin girl on 24 November in Aizawl, Mizoram northeast state of India.

The arrested is identified as Lalrozama (27), also known as Mena from Falam Township, Chin state. He was arrested in the company of a teenage girl near the Tennis Court in Aizawl while waiting for customers around 4 pm on 24 November, reported a local newspaper, The Zozam Time.

The newspaper said, “Lalrozama and his friends abducted a teenage girl on the way, when she was returning home from Church. She was serving as a home mate locally. After that, he had sex with her forcibly and threatened her not to try and leave his house.”

It is learnt that he used to pass her on to Indian men for Rs. 300 a night and assault her. She never got enough sleep, said the girl.

In fact, Lalrozama has been arrested thrice on rape cases by local authorities but he escaped from jail. Khonumthung news
