A report said that government schools in Mindat and Kanpalet townships in Chin state have been facing a problem on teaching vernacular language. As the appointed teachers cannot teach the local language called ‘Cho’ in government schools in Mindat, Kanpalet, Thilyin and Saw townships, the students cannot get proper teaching on their own language, said Pa Ng’ Thang Om Pang. “The authority had appointed teachers from other states, not from the locals who are qualified to teach the vernacular language. Although the southern Chin state conference had been arranged to hold on 8-9 July in Mindat town, the permission cannot given by the state authority and all the program was flopped just before the date. The local people in Kalaymyo wanted to remove the waste materials threw by Municipal department on 6 June at Kalaymyo’s old cemetery area in Tahan block without delay. Members of the Chin National Conference Resolution Implementation Committee met in Hakha, Chin State from 9-11 June, reviewing a set of resolutions reached during the November 2013 conference for the second times. “It needs to work together with all ethnic armed groups, government officials and military forces for ceasefire in Myanmar,” said Pu Zin Cung, President of Chin National Front (CNF). The passed percentage of matrix examination in Chin state, 14.36% has been lower than last year record in the academic session 2015-2016 in Myanmar. The passed percent of class X has lower than 3% compared with previous year.
