A Chin sub-tribe group called Sukte in Tidim township, Chin state and other Chin sub-tribe group in Champhai, Mizoram northeast state of India were erected a pillar of reconciliation for the chaos of their ancestors’ period. A report said that the pillar was erected on 25 November 2015 in Khuangleng village, in order to reconcile between Laitui villagers in Tidim township and Khuangleng villagers in Champhai district.
Reports from Hakha town, capital of Chin state, said that an explosion occurred at a house in New Market block at 10 p.m. last night and it killed 6 persons and injured 9 persons on the spot. The incident was happened at U Jonathan’s four floors house in New Market block, Hakha town. Down stair was rented by Pu Neng Cin’s family and they had a guest. The total 6 persons included a guest were dead by the explosion, said U Shwe Tiau in Hakha.
A report said that a candidate for Pyithu Hluttaw in Tidim constituency, Pu Ching Cing Thang, Chairman of Zomi Center for Democracy (ZCD) got most vote on yesterday general election in Mynamar. Although there was not any result announcement from state election commission on Chin state, Pu Ching Cing Thang got more than ten thousand of votes from 43000 voters in Tidim township.
A source said that there are many Chin people in Kalaymyo, Sagaing region cannot give vote for ethic group hluttaw yesterday general election in Myanmar. Many Chin people cannot give their votes to ethnic group hluttaw, though they had given votes to Pyithu Hluttaw, Amyota Hluttaw and Region Hluttaw.
Khonumthung TV producer, Ko Tuidim said that no one can take nearby voting booth in Hakha during yesterday general election in the state as prohibited by the state election commission. “It is written that ‘Not allow to take photo’ infront of most voting booths in Hakha, but I don’t know in other townships and villages, and I don’t know what is the reason,” he added. The United Nation Development Program (UNDP) has organized a meeting called ‘Candidate Information Session’ at Carson Hall in Hakha, to access information between public and election candidates for Chin state yesterday. At the meeting, candidates from Hakha, Tidim, Matupi, Kanpalet and Mindat constituencies were presented and 15 of their personal secretaries also attended.
Chin state parliamentary candidate and Chairman of National League of Democracy (NLD), Pu ZoBawi has got car accident at 7:15 am, on last Sunday in new market block in Hakha. The incidents was took place nearby traffic light turning point and he had mistakenly used his Parado car’s break and accelerator and had hit cloth and cosmetic shops, then the car was fell into road side 20 yards from the shops.
The construction of rescue camp nearby Carson Church on Ralmung playground has not yet finished, which has been started from second week of August 2015 for natural disaster victims in Hakha. “We had finished 50% on the construction and now we are working for toilets, dining rooms, water pipe and electricity fitting. A report said that there is no arrangement for easy accessible voting for 790 persons with disabilities voters in Kalaymyo district, Sagaing region for the upcoming 2015 general election in Myanmar. U Win Khan Pau, Chairman of Kalay District Election Commission said, “There is no special arrangement on voting for disabled persons as the system use in other countries. They have to vote same as other persons, but easy to accessible voting, parents, brothers or sisters could assist them in voting booth.”
