A group of 88 generation students led by Min Ko Naing arrived in Teddim Town, northern Chin state to deliver lectures on Burma’s peace process to Chin people on 7 March.

Work on a 92-mile stretch of road connecting Matupi and Paletwa Township, Chin state will be taken up soon by the Union Border Ministry. The road will connect Razua, Lailenpi villages of Matupi and Sinletwa village of Paletwa.. Pu Van Cin, a representative of State Hluttaw told local people when he arrived between 19 and 26 February that road construction will be overseen by Pu Abi from Lailenpi village… “Once the road is complete, goods from Paletwa Town will be easily despatched to Hakha, the capital of Chin state within a day,” said a trader from Hakha.
A month-old baby was killed in a Jeep accident and 10 other passengers were seriously injured in Saiha district of Mizoram state, northeast India around 9 am, local standard time yesterday. “The other injured passengers included the driver. The injured were admitted in Saiha hospital. Most of the injured are still unconscious,” said a relative of the child.
A training programme called “Way out to Freedom” was held in Mindat Town of southern Chin state, Burma by Myanmar Egress, a non-profit organization which was set up in Rangoon, the former capital in 2006. The training imparted knowledge on economic uplift of Burma, reconciliation on Burma’s peace process, Burma’s democracy, how to involve public with the Burmese government, social and economic issues, said Salai Aung Aung from Mindat. There was a mix up in the History and Geography timetable by the school authorities for class VII where examinations were scheduled for the last day of the final examination of Matupi high school of southern Chin state, Burma. Union Ministers of Myanmar attended the 65th anniversary of the Chin National Day co-organized by the Chin state government and the Chin National Front (CNF) on February 20. Chin National Front (CNF), was represented by Dr. Lian Hmung Sakhong, Dr. Shwe Khar as members of the supreme council. A move to resolve the starvation situation in Chin state, Burma led to a survey between 7 January and 10 February by Pu Lal Maung Cung, a member of state Hluttaw and a representative from Than Tlang constituency.
