Eight organizations participated in this event, including the Timor-Leste Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, Dili City, Timor-Leste Youth Parliament, Timor-Leste Non-Governmental Organization Forum, Arte Moris, and Vinod Patel Group and the volunteers are joined the paintings. Fighting in Tonzang town in northern Chin state on the morning of 2 August left one civilian dead and three others wounded, according to local reports. A 30 July statement released by the India-based advocacy organization India For Myanmar has condemned the Indian government’s policy of collecting the biometric data of refugees from Burma. In the statement, the group calls for an immediate stop of biometric data collection from refugees. The Mizoram and Manipur State governments have begun collecting biometric data under a directive from India’s Ministry of Home Affairs. The Chinland Defense Force – Mindat (Mindat CDF) reported that they ambushed a military truck in Mindat town, killing at least seven Burma army personnel. Over 3,000 civilians have fled to the Indian border to escape the fierce fighting between the Tamu People’s Defence Force (PDF) and the Burma army in Khampat, located in Sagaing Region.
