A 52-year-old man was shot dead by Burma army soldiers near the train station junction on Bogyoke road in Kalay town of Sagaing Region on the afternoon of 27 February.  The murdered man was named Pu Lalengliana. Over the past three years 20 infants and 12 mothers have died in IDP camps in Mindat Township, southern Chin state, according to local humanitarian workers. Key factors for these deaths are a lack of sufficient maternal health services, limited access to nutrient-rich food, and bad road infrastructure. A combined force of multiple People’s Defense Forces (PDFs) killed 15 Burma army soldiers during three days of clashes in Sagaing Region, according to a source from the National Unity Government’s (NUG) Military Region No-1. The Chinland government and parliament have announced their 100-day plan after resistance forces and former lawmakers assembled the new administration for Chin State. On Thursday, Matupi Chinland Defense Force (CDF) deployed landmines during an assault on a 200-strong column serving under the State Administration Council (SAC) along the Matupi – Mindat road in southern Chin State.
