On the afternoon of 25 January, the Burma Army arrested 13 civilians in Hakha town, the capital of Chin State. The Chin Human Rights Organization (CHRO) reported that seven of those arrested were released on January 27, but six people are still being held in the detection centre. The regime flew an airstrike on a village in Mindat on Monday, injuring civilians and damaging a Buddhist monastery, another religious building and several houses. According to the Public Administration for Mindat Township, a revolutionary group formed after the coup, a fighter jet attacked Palate Htwee at about 11am where no fighting was reported. The Tamu People’s Defence Force (PDF) and the All Burma Students’ Democratic Front’s Battalion 5 burnt down the Election Commission (EC) office in Tamu town in Sagaing Region. “We are against the fake election organised by the military regime. The Matupi Chinland Defence Force (CDF) claims to have killed at least eight regime soldiers and wounded five after they were attacked near Nga Lai in Matupi Township on 21 January.
