The Thangtlang Chinland Defence Force (CDF) claims to have killed six regime soldiers and wounded eight others, while four CDF fighters were injured during a battle on 23 May in the town of Thangtlang, northern Chin State. The Network for Chin Community Development (NCCD) adopted a draft Chin land policy during a major conference attended by 26 Chin civil society organisations campaigning against the loss of land by the Burma Army.
