The Chinland Defence Force (CDF) in Hakha Township released a Catholic monk and a Baptist pastor that the civilian resistance group claimed it detained for allegedly reporting its activities to the Burma Army (BA). Two hospital staff and two people in quarantine tested positive in Paletwa on August 5, bringing the total active infections in the southern Chin State town to 97.
