CDF Attacks Regime Camp Near Shwe Gas Project in Ngape

The Asho Chinland Defense Force (CDF) attacked a regime military camp tasked with guarding a gas pipeline station on the Minbu–Ann highway road in southern Magwe Region.

During the attack, a warrant officer was killed, and another Burma Army soldier died. The CDF attack did not cause any damage to the fuel facility. Several buildings, though, were damaged.

CDF officer Salai Roe Chin said, “There were only a few soldiers at the military camp. Our objective was to seize their weapons. We entered their camp and attacked their apartment, killing an officer.”

He added that before launching the 45-minute attack on the camp near Myay Latt, located in Ngape Township, on the morning of August 20, they surveyed the area to determine the number of soldiers housed there and the types of weapons they possessed.

However, the CDF ran out of ammunition and had to withdraw without seizing any of the enemy’s cache, but the CDF did not suffer any casualties during the attack.

The fuel station is connected to Shwe Gas Project, a twin pump line that transports oil and gas from Rakhine State to China’s Yunnan Province.
