The Kanpetlet Chinland Defense Force (CDF) has reported surprise attacks on State Administration Council (SAC) troops stationed in various government buildings within Kanpetlet town, claiming to have killed at least three soldiers and injuring several others on Wednesday.
Salai Htun Ling Thang, the CDF brigade commander for Kanpetlet, said they attacked the General Administration Development (GAD) and Department of Education buildings.
“Our initial objective was to seize control of the GAD office from the SAC. During the engagement, which lasted for a few hours, we called on them to surrender, but they resisted and defended their camp vigorously,” explained Salai Htun Ling Thang.
He mentioned hearing a mix of sobbing and screaming from inside the office but finally conceded that his troops didn’t have the firepower required to take over, forcing them to retreat.
“We lack the necessary heavy weapons, drones, and sniper guns—we need these weapons,” he emphasized, seeking public support for its Support Victoria Heroes fundraising campaign.
Salai Htun Ling Thang reported no casualties or injuries from the CDF’s side during the early morning attack. He highlighted the fear of SAC troops toward drone attacks and expressed determination to launch subsequent assaults, ultimately aiming to secure the GAD office.
In the afternoon, the CDF attacked the Education Department of Kanpetlet Township. SAC’s defensive measures were formidable and effectively held during the hour-long clash, Salai Htun Ling Thang said. He could not confirm any enemy casualties.
Following the attacks, CDF issued a statement urging town residents to exercise caution and avoid areas where SAC soldiers are deployed as more fighting could happen at anytime.
