    CDF Under Attack In Kanpetlet

The Kanpetlet Chinland Defense Force (CDF) have been under attack by two regime columns from different directions since last Thursday.

According to CDF, 60 soldiers from Hsaw in Magwe Region and 80 soldiers from Kanpetlet town in Chin State have attacked the Chin resistance fighters between the two towns.

“We fought twice yesterday and twice today. The fighting has escalated in the area and I have heard that there have been casualties on both sides, but I cannot confirm any numbers at this stage.”

The CDF issued a statement calling on civilians to avoid travelling between towns as violence in the area was increasing and expected to continue throughout the week.

Since May last year, after the regime began targeting innocent civilians for protesting against the dictatorship, CDF chapters have been fighting across Chin State against the BA.

Although poorly armed and vastly outnumbered, the Chin resistance fighters have taken a heavy toll on the regime’s armed forces.
