Chin Brotherhood and its allied forces have seized the headquarters of the Military Council’s Light Infantry Battalion (LIB) 304 in Matupi, located in southern Chin State, on June 17, amidst ongoing attacks on regime installations within the town.

Supported by the Arakan Army and Yaw Army, the brotherhood is committed to expelling the junta from Chin State by the end of this year, and have launched Operation CB on June 9 to achieve this ambitious goal.

Resistance forces have captured numerous rounds of ammunition and weapons, including a howitzer from LIB 304 in Matupi.

They are currently engaged in attacks on Infantry Battalion 140 and all remaining outposts in the township sharing the same name as the town.

Additionally, Chin Brotherhood attacked the Military Council in Tedim, situated in northern Chin State, seizing the EPC Office and a military camp known locally as microwave camp on May 27.

They reported killing 7 regime soldiers, capturing 9 prisoners of war, and recovering 17 assault rifles in the town.

In a statement regarding Operation CB, the Chin Brotherhood expressed gratitude to the Chin diaspora for their continuous support and acknowledged the bravery and sacrifice of the resistance fighters who have given their lives to the cause or lost their limbs during service.
