    Chin people in Mizoram heaps praise on NLD government

    Chin people who are settling in Aizawl, Mizoram northeast state of India had greeted and heaps praise on the new government of NLD leading by U Htin Kyaw, President, in Myanmar at Sihhmui block in Aizawl on 9th April.

    “We are very happy and grateful to NLD’s government as we had been waiting for many years, that’s why we had held this kind of meeting,” said U Maung Htwe (Pu Lalthaa), a local of Sihhmui.

    The meeting was held at Pu Lalthlengliana’s resident in Sihhmui block and Pu Paul Sitha, secretary of foreign affairs, CNF was Chief Gust for the meeting.

    “As the political landscape has been changed in Myanmar the perspective of local Mizo people on Chin people in Mizoram also changed in many ways if we compare with the condition of previous government in Myanamr,” said Pu Paul Sitha.

    In fact, the new government of NLD is emerging after 50 years of military ruled in Myanmar, for that many people had held the welcoming celebration on new government in various places in Myanmar.
