Hre Kung (25) from Myotit block of Hakha, the capital of Chin state, Burma was beaten to death, when carols were being sung by his group, ushering in the New Year in Kuala Lumpur by around 20 persons in a gang, said a Chin refugee from Malaysia.

“They were beaten while waiting for the Metro in Hangtaung station of Kuala Lumpur. The rest of the refugees fled,” said a relative of Hre Kung.
