Chin Resistance Attacks Burma Army Convoy On Falam – Kalay Road

Chin resistance groups say they have killed 10 Burma Army soldiers and wounded many others in an attack on a convoy of 23 vehicles between Ver Lon and Theing Ngin in western Burma.

According to the Siyin Civil Defence Militia (CDM) spokesperson, they and the Zoland People’s Defence Force (PDM) planted landmines in the jungle along the route the 100-man convoy was to pass on its way from Falam in Chin State to Kalay in Sagaing Region.

He explained that they detonated the explosives as the soldiers, who were on foot to clear the roadside mines, approached on Wednesday afternoon. After the raid, the CDM and PDF retreated without any deaths or injuries.

Since last autumn, the junta has launched a large-scale clearance campaign to defeat Chin resistance fighters in Chin State and Sagaing Region.

The groups have killed many of the regime’s armed forces, despite being outnumbered and outgunned.
