Regime forces attack the Timit Valley everyday from Khuhsilobo Independence Monument in Hakha, the capital of Chin State.
Even when the Burma army and the Chinland Defence Force (CDF) are not fighting, they shell the valley with artillery, but so far there have been no casualties, said a source close to the armed group fighting the regime, who preferred not to be named.
The junta fired at least 10 shells on the afternoon of 7 July, and he heard that the CDF attacked a Burma army camp in the Timit Valley with a drone.
On 3 July, the regime attacked Tida between Hakha and Thangtlang. Later, fighting broke out with the Burma army and several Chin resistance groups in the valley, which is near the village.
At the end of May, about 200 junta soldiers were sent from Hakha to try to capture Thangtlang, but after facing fierce clashes with the Chin groups they haven’t been able to reach the town.
