In the 2014-2015 academic year the class X results announced on 6 June in states and regions in Myanmar and Chin state, the pass percentage  was 17.84. The result shows that the pass percentage had doubled compared to last year. The pass percentage last year was 8.07 only. This year, there were 9,639 students in class X, of these 1,720 successfully passed the examination. There are six subjects letters for 1, five subjects letters for 1, four subjects letters for 5, three subjects letters for 15, two subjects letters for 43 and one subject letters for 233.

“The competition of one school with another is becoming very high in Chin state for quality education. This is the reason of the good result and higher pass percentage this year. And we need to open more schools (hostel and boarding) for more competition,” said Chin state Social Minister Dr. Ba Maung.

Hakha Township recorded 25.74 pass percentage, which is the highest in Chin state, while Paletwa Township scored 7.37 pass percentage, which is the lowest in Chin state. The students in Falam Township got letters in 6 and 5 subjects.
