    CND to be held in Chin state by CNF and government

    The 65th Chin National Day celebration is to be jointly organized by the Chin National Front and Chin state government in Hakha, the capital of Chin state.

    A budget Kyat 130 lakh has been earmarked for the celebrations and a resolution to that effect was passed in the meeting of both sides on 6 February 2013. The amount is to be shared by the authorities of the two sides, said a leader of the CNF.

    Pu Lian Uk and Dr. Za Hlei Thang, the top leaders of CNF and its party members will be participating in the 65th Chin National Day celebration and U Sai Muak Kham, Vice President of the Union of Burma, U Aung Min and U Win Htun, Union Ministers will be present.

    “We are preparing to participate with other NGO personnel which supports our activities in the Chin National Day celebration,” said a leader of the CNF.

    Chin singers and singers from Mizoram state, northeast India will perform at the celebrations it will be broadcast live by Sky net TV channel.

    The celebrations will be held in Vumtu Maung field in Hakha. Other forms of entertainment are Chin wresting, volleyball, badminton, high jump competition, cultural competition and Khuang Cawi dance competition.

    A report said that he Chin National Front has been preparing to support the celebration of the 65th Chin National Day celebration service in the state.
