The Chin National Front (CNF) has urged for an agreement on a national level cease fire between the Myanmar government and ethnic armed groups at its fourth central committee meeting from 22-29 January 2015 in the Indo-Myanmar border area.

The statement from CNF said that Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) by Nationwide Ceasefire Coordination Team and Union Peacemaking Work Committee has yielded results, which has lasted till September 2014.

It added that CNF will follow up on some agreements for signing between the Chin National Front and Union government of Myanmar as the Chin people urged its implementation.

Pu Thang Nang Lian Thang will ensure the implementations in CNF for 2015 as he is the newly appointed Chairman of CNF.
