The local people of Zophaung and Hla Tui villages, Mindat Township, southern Chin state, Burma were met by Pu Thang Ning Kee, a supreme council member of the Chin National Front (CNF) along with Salai Aung Ling Thang, a member of the organizing committee of CNF on 24 January.
Pu Thang Ning Kee met the people after the peace talk process between the Central government and CNF on 7 to 9 December 2012 in Rangoon. The process of peace talk was explained to the local people by Pu Thang Ning Kee.
“In the meeting, the 27-point agreement between the government and CNF were clarified by Pu Thang Ning Kee. I explained the back ground of CNF to the local people,” said Salai Aung Ling Thang.
Two delegations of the CNF were warmly welcomed by the local people and the local people cleaned up the road to welcome Pu Thang Ning Kee’s team.
The local people and departmental officials of Mindat Town were also met by Pu Thang Ning Kee on 25 January. He was also warmly welcomed by the local people.
