A survey to determine the cleanliness, adequacy and purity of drinking water for the people of Hakha the capital of Chin state, Burma was started in Timit River by an expert from Ayeya Shwelin Company on 27 January.
A local newspaper reported that the expert group was sent by Ayeya Shwelin Company following a meeting held by U Tam Aung’s team of the Municipal Department of Hakha along with 24 elders and local people on 23 January.
U Ngunt Hliang, Managing Director of Ayeya Shwelin Company, U Myint Lwin, Director, U Khin Maung Latt, Engineer, U Lin Lin Htun, U Ning Naing, Minister of Chin state Municipal Affairs and some elders of Hakha made up the survey group.
The survey group expects drinking water will be produced along with electricity for the capital from Timit River dam project system which is located between Than Tlang and Hakha Town of the state, said an elder from Hakha.
At the same time, U Khin Maung Latt, Engineer of Ayaya Shwelin Company, Minister of Chin state Municipality and Director of the State Municipality surveyed Lungrang River of Falam Township for production of standard drinking water in the state.
Lungrang River will also produce standard drinking water from the dam system for Hakha and Falam Town people.
The report said that drinking water is being produced in Mandalay, the second capital of Burma by the Ayeya Shwelin Company.
