The Japanese Embassy based in Yangon has constructed a new high school No. (2) in Thantlang town and it was inaugurated on 16 June. The construction of the school building cost more than Kyat 1000 lakhs, and Kota Watanabe, Secretary (III) from Japanese Embassy, Pu Hun Ngai, Chief Minister of Chin state, Dr. Ba Maung, Social Minister, Pu Ngun San Aung, Transportation Minister, Pu Van Thawng, Agriculture Minister, Shwe Khar Lian, Deputy Education of Chin state and Chin state police superintendant were present in the school opening.
Kota Wantanabe said that the Japanese Embassy wants to promote the living standard in remote areas in education and other development. The cost of Kyat 1000 lakhs for this school building is a present and it has to be used meaningfully for children.
After that Dr. Hmu Thang, representative of parents in Thantlang town and a school head Master also gave addresses and gave a vote of thanks.
