A couple days after the Tatmadaw attack on Thantlang, which killed a 10-year-old boy hiding in his house, an unexploded shell that landed in the town in Chin State was detonated, killing another civilian and injuring 10 people.

According to a resident, Pu Hlei Bik, 45, and the injured were repairing houses damaged in the attack in Kyaung ward on August 25. When someone touched the shell that landed in one of the houses, it exploded.

The body of Pu Hlei Bik was returned to his house and the other people are receiving medical treatment at a church.
