The headman of Pasing village and his brother were detained by the Maraland Defense Force (MDF) in Mara territory near Lailengpi town of Chin State, according to the Secretary of the MDF. The Kanpetlet Chinland Defense Force (Kanpetlet CDF) has officially joined the Chin Brotherhood Alliances, according to a statement released by the Chin Brotherhood Alliance on 6 March 2024. The announcement followed multiple meetings between the Kanpetlet CDF and the Chin Brotherhood Alliance. In the three years since the military coup approximately 40 police and soldiers surrendered to Hakha Chinland Defense Force (Hakha CDF), according a representative of the group. Mizoram senator Pu K. Vanlalvena observed the progress of an India-financed infrastructure project and met with representatives from the Arakan Army (AA) during a recent visit to the India-Burma border, according to India-based media outlets. On 29 February, the senator travelled to the India-Burma border to observe the construction of the Paletwa–Zorinpui highway which connects Paletwa Township of Chin state and Mizoram State of India as part of the Kaladan Multi-Modal Transit Transport project. Following an announcement from the Kalay People’s Defense Force that they will increase military actions in Kalay town of Sagaing Region, local people have been fleeing from the town to seek refuge in border areas and remote villages. The Burma army detained 13 civilians in Mindat Township of southern Chin state on 25 February. Three of the people detained remain in captivity at the headquarters of Infantry Battalion 274 (IB-274) in Mindat town, according to local sources. A 52-year-old man was shot dead by Burma army soldiers near the train station junction on Bogyoke road in Kalay town of Sagaing Region on the afternoon of 27 February.  The murdered man was named Pu Lalengliana. Over the past three years 20 infants and 12 mothers have died in IDP camps in Mindat Township, southern Chin state, according to local humanitarian workers. Key factors for these deaths are a lack of sufficient maternal health services, limited access to nutrient-rich food, and bad road infrastructure.
